As someone who’s been dreaming and working towards creating unapologetically this 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the people who inspire me to show up as my most creative, fearless self. Doechii, a Grammy-nominated artist, rapper, and singer whose journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. She’s not just an artist; she’s a reminder that it’s okay to grow in public, take risks, and be unapologetically authentic.
This post is the first in a new series called The Baddie Blueprint, where I celebrate women who inspire me to embrace my creativity, pursue my dreams boldly, and live intentionally. Today, I’m diving into how Doechii’s resilience, intentionality, and authenticity have sparked something deep within me, how Doechii inspires me—and how I’m channeling that energy into my own journey.
How Doechii Inspires Me
Her YouTube Beginnings: Documenting Growth Fearlessly
Before becoming a rising star signed to TDE, Doechii was a creator on YouTube, sharing raw, unfiltered moments of her journey. Watching her early videos, you see a woman determined to create, no matter how imperfect or messy the process seemed.
That willingness to show the journey resonates with me deeply. I’ve often held back, waiting for “perfect” conditions to create. But Doechii’s transparency reminds me that the beauty lies in the process. Her story has inspired me to document my growth openly, embracing every step of the way.
Her Intentionality and Hunger to Be the Best
Every lyric, performance, and visual that Doechii creates feels intentional. She’s not just making music; she’s crafting art. This level of thoughtfulness has motivated me to approach my work with more care and purpose.
In 2025, I want to embody that same hunger for growth—to push myself beyond my comfort zone and elevate my creativity. It’s not just about creating content but creating content that feels deeply meaningful and true to me.
Staying True to Herself
Even as she gains recognition, Doechii stays true to who she is—bold, raw, and refreshingly authentic. Watching her unapologetically embrace her style, identity, and vision encourages me to lean into my own uniqueness.
As a dark-skinned, queer woman, seeing someone like Doechii thrive while remaining authentically herself feels deeply personal. She’s a reminder that our authenticity is our greatest strength.
Inspiring Me to Explore The Artist’s Way
One of the biggest influences Doechii has had on me is reigniting my desire to reconnect with my creativity. Her journey has inspired me to pick up The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, a book I’ve heard so much about but never dived into.
This year, I’m committed to rediscovering my creative voice and breaking free from self-doubt—just as Doechii’s journey has shown me is possible.
Manifesting Bravery in 2025
Watching Doechii reminds me that bravery isn’t about being fearless; it’s about showing up despite the fear. This year, I’m stepping into my own creative journey with more vulnerability and courage.
To anyone reading this: If you’ve ever felt like your dreams are too big, let Doechii’s story inspire you to embrace your authenticity, work with intention, and create fearlessly.
