Product Review – Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Hydrator

Female Development and Style

Last month I attended a Clinique indoor influencer event at their store which is located at Jabi Lake mall. Their store is aesthetically pleasing, I had a great time; learned about the brand, some of their products and took the tape test.

In the goody bag I received there was a new product; Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour auto replenishing Hydrator that they were launching in Nigeria in August so I was opportune to be among the first set of people trying it out in Nigeria and here is my detailed review after 4 weeks. This post should have  been up earlier but I fell ill.

PRODUCT DETAILS – Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Hydrator

Name; Clinique moisture surge 72-hour auto-replenishing hydrator. Long name, I know
Price; US$12.00 (4,332Naira) – 15ML,
US$19.00(6,859Naira) – 30ML,
US$39.00(14,079Naira) – 50ML,
US$52.50(18,953Naira)-75ML (this is the one I got)
Packaging; the product comes in a cute tub inside a small green carton box with a transparent plastic tub, a silver cap, and white separator.
Smell; Clinique prides the brand in 100% fragrance-free products but it has a soft fragrance to it.

PRODUCT CLAIM – Clinique Moisture Surge 72 Hour Hydrator

It Is
Our addictively refreshing gel-cream is now enhanced to give your skin the power to rehydrate itself. Delivers an instant moisture boost. Keeps skin almost twice as hydrated at the end of the day than it did before. Enjoy 72 hours of non-stop hydration, even after washing your face.

What It Does
Advanced hydrator with Auto-Replenishing Technology actually helps skin create its own internal water source to continually rehydrate itself. Then locks in all that moisture for an endlessly plump, dewy, healthy-looking glow.

Proven Results
Testing proves it works non-stop for 72 hours—even after washing your face.
Our enhanced formula gives skin an instant moisture boost. Delivers almost twice as much hydration at the end of the day than it did before.

My skin type; oily, Acne-prone, sensitive

Application; a little goes a long way guys, really long way, I use it after I wash, cleanse and apply my acne face cream, just a small amount, it has a luscious and fast-absorbing gel-cream texture and very very moisturizing

  1. Can be applied under or over makeup by tapping into the skin
  2. Use as a midday hydrator when skin needs a pick-me-up
  3. Provides extra hydration when applied as a 5-minute mask
  4. Moisturizes well
  5. Non-sticky
  6. It’s formulated with Hyaluronic acid, which holds 1000x its weight in water and both Activated Aloe Water and Caffeine which help skin to create its own internal water source, allowing the skin to rehydrate itself
  7. A small bottle can go a long way

  1. On the pricey side
  2.  72 hours claim is not true for me, with the way I cleanse my face I’ll be shocked if it was

It should be understood that daily moisturizing is vital for healthy skin, yet some think of it as an aesthetically-inclined habit. The human skin is the body’s largest organ and requires regular attention to stay young, blemish-free and healthy. Importance of moisturizing

Do I recommend?
Yes, a small bottle goes a long way, it’s really moisturizing and it has multi-use benefits

DISCLAIMER; this product was given to me for review consideration, all opinions are mine and information shared from the brand that I agree with
