Hello dear reader, it’s been a minute since you’ve heard from me, I apologize and I hope to fill you in on why I’ve been away, where I am presently so we can continue from where we stopped or start afresh? Maybe?

It’s been over a month that I’ve put up a new blog post, exactly a month that I’ve checked my blog notification and stats.

Life Lately – Detaching from Emotions

I have a bad habit of running away from what I want to do and my problems in general as if it makes them disappear.

This is how I have been detaching myself from my emotions of late, I didn’t want to listen to her, I was scared of how emotional I was going to get so in my head it’s better to suppress things. It isn’t. If you are like me and you sometimes try to avoid how you feel, it’s really not helping. No matter how much you keep yourself occupied, it will just come back and hit you stronger.

Life lately – NYSC

My NYSC service year is coming to an end, it makes me so happy to be getting done with this phase of my life. From this point, it feels like my life is mine, nothing mandatory to do again to reassure my parents that I won’t end up homeless.

So I’ve been at home for a few days now, resting, eating and breathing. Healing from the stress of service year while anticipating the new path and choices that awaits me. It’s exciting.

Life lately – Trying out new things

I’ve been trying my hands on DIY’s and I made this art wall with Ankara, I was inspired by Tonye’s blog post and you can read the post for the steps on how to make yours here. DIY fabric art wall

Re-branding my online store, @shopwitholotu I am so proud of myself for finally taking this decision, I will now be selling just new shoes and bags at a giveaway price with quality that you can trust.

Life lately – The Blog

I want to incorporate more life experiences and finance lessons into my blog, so it may go through a small re-branding, nothing far from what I’ve been doing. I just want to give more so you can learn more and become a better version of yourself.

Life lately – The fun part

I was on a TV ad! I never watched it on TV but my family and friends did and they kept asking if it was me, gassing me up and it was exciting, the whole process was an experience and I was glad I was able to meet new people and connect with like-minded creative people.

Got a shout out on Sheraton’s stage by Mrs. Dayo Benajmins Laniyi at the Nigeria social media summit event. It was such an experience, I was blown away!

I was a fashion model at the rustic rose event, while my modeling career is moving slowly; I’ve not been pushing as I should, I’m glad I got the opportunity to model at an event, the dresses and the vibe were amazing and it was a beautiful experience.

I did a tarot card reading! It was my first time ever and it was such an experience, from the scented candles, crystals, the reader and the message, it gave me the reassurance that I needed.

Attended a Closed Facebook event, it was my first time at a closed event and I learned that I have been sleeping on the power of Facebook.

It’s my birthday month! My turnup friends are not in the state so I think it might be boring, cry with me.

Life lately – learning

Learning to be patient, I have never been a patient person, I want something done, it has to be done now and that has affected the quality of certain things in my life. Like my business, my blog sometimes; not being patient to get the right pictures, something as little as that goes a long way.

Learning to be more organized, I’ve always been a free bird but I’m growing and that lifestyle does not work for me anymore, I have to make plans and keep up with deadlines if I want the boss lady lifestyle I crave.

Learning to take better care of my skin, especially my facial skin

Life lately – Observing my actions

Noticed of late that I am an emotional eater, and I crave what’s bad for me when I’m in a bad place, hoping to learn to accept that and change it with time

I just needed to breathe and take time to myself. I am back to motivate you, entertain you, you know, give you hot.

Give me a warm welcome, please? Thanks for reading and please tell me how have you been!
