how to use elemis pro collagen cleansing balm

It’s important to cleanse your face properly so your face is refreshed and you avoid build-up of sweat, oil, and makeup which can lead to skin issues.

As someone with sensitive oily acne-prone skin, I cannot even play about cleansing my face properly. I have tried a few cleansing balms here and there but today I will be reviewing the Elemis Pro-Collagen cleansing balm.

I have been using the Elemis Pro-Collagen cleansing balm for a while now, I am sure you can see from the pictures how it’s almost finished.

Cleansing balms are mostly used for double-cleansing. Cleansing balms are a fantastic choice for kicking off your double-cleanse routine.

Here’s why:

So, in a double cleanse, the cleansing balm acts like your first line of defense, tackling oil-based makeup and dirt. Then, your second cleanse with a water-based cleanser (think gel or foam) washes away any leftover traces and gives your skin a deeper clean.

Product Description

This Elemis Pro-Collagen cleansing balm starts as a rich balm, transforming into a gentle oil as you massage. Upon contact with water, it emulsifies into a hydrating milk that rinses clean. Frequency of usage

I use the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm every time I wear makeup and on most days I wear sunscreen, I also rotate between this and my Korean cleansing balm but I prefer this when I wear makeup cause it gets the job done perfectly.

My thoughts on using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

My experience with the product has lived up to the product claims. It melts into my hands and feels so good on my face. I love the texture and consistency. It has a minty scent that’s just soothing, which is important to me because I don’t like overpowering scents in skincare products.

Most importantly, it effectively removes my makeup. After washing my face, it immediately adds a glow and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

Pros

  1. Gets the job done.
  2. Leaves my skin feeling refreshed and revived.
  3. It can be used as a nourishing facial mask when you leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Simple to use and not messy.
  5. It can be used on all skin care types.

Cons

  1. It’s a bit more expensive than a lot of cleansing balms.

Overall impression

Overall, I like this product, for someone with acne-prone sensitive skin, it’s a gentle and hydrating cleanser that I recommend and will be repurchasing. However, if you do not have any skincare concerns, there are some more cost-effective options you can check out. I can do a review of other cost-effective options if you want that.
