Spending less is definitely on the list of spending smartly, I can’t see any reason why anyone won’t want to spend smartly especially on personal style. It saves money! More money = better things in life. Money won’t solve all your problems but it will solve a lot, trust me.
Fashion, personal style, clothes whichever you prefer to call it takes a lot of money from us and it should not be so when you can spend less and get more from your personal style – better quality clothes and clothes that work for you
Here are 5 ways to get more from your personal style while spending less
Understand Your Personal Style
This point just had to be here, your style is unique to you; your style is the expression of your personality through your clothing choices and other elements like makeup and accessories – No sidebar
Are you into cooperate outfits more? Do they bore you? Are you a sneakers girl? Denim? Do you like bold colors or you can’t stand them? Prints? Girly or anything goes type of girl.
It’s important to know your personal style because you can’t spend money on heels when you are a sneakers girl then never wear it
Cassie daves, A Nigerian Fashion blogger made a post about how she found her personal style, should be helpful to you My Personal Style Journey x How To Figure Out Your Style.
I will also share my personal style journey soon. I’m drifting towards the minimalist style where everything in my wardrobe works for me, no. I’m not throwing away my prints and bold colored clothes. I’m just going to be very conscious with my wardrobe.

Shop For Your Lifestyle
Shopping for your lifestyle is a much-underrated way of spending wisely, a lot of us buy clothes because it looks good and we can wear it for an event that will never come.
I have a friend that spent money on a dinner dress she never wore until it was not her size.
Buy what will work for you now, what you can wear today and tomorrow, what is important to have. You are drifting towards a healthier lifestyle invest in sports wears; you have restrictions at work get what works for work. You go to work 5 days a week. Events are once in a while thing.
Whatever your lifestyle is, invest in what you wear often. This makes life easy. When you look into your wardrobe there is something to wear not when you have good clothes that you can’t wear out easily.
I understand that sometimes good deals can come but invest wisely – buy 1 pretty dinner dress and don’t get another till you’ve worn that one.
Buy Clothes With Better Quality
With the rise of thrift shopping a lot of people are in all in for buying cheap clothes that they actually buy tons of clothes they never wear, don’t be confused, some thrift clothes have great quality but it takes discipline to not buy clothes with bad quality because they are cheap.
Invest in clothes with better quality even if expensive, they will last for years. Invest in a good pair of denim pants, black pants, a good leather black handbag. The essentials basically.
Another way is to get clothes tailored to you, you get to pick the best quality when you buy your material yourself and tailored perfectly to your taste, you need to keep your eye out for a good tailor and try not to rush tailoring clothes, a lot of tailors disappoint when it comes to delivering on time.

Get Creative With Your Wardrobe
Style your pieces differently, thrown on a kimono, add a hat, use a statement belt, restyle till you can no more. I will start creating outfit posts contents that involve styling a wardrobe staple in different ways.
Don’t be ashamed of repeating clothes please; be proud of where you are financial while working to get that schmoney. No one is buying your clothes for you. Do you! Comfort is key and breaking the bank because you want to meet up with people’s standard is not worth itless
Shop Smartly – Take Your Cash And Leave Your Credit Card
In fact, divide the money you spend while shopping into two, and take half, make a promise to yourself that that’s all you’re spending on clothes for that month and stick to it. Lock the money in a piggy bank if you have to.
I have noticed that when I take less to shop I get better outfits, it tricks your mind to spend wisely because you have less than normal.
Other ways you can get more from your personal style includes
Taking advantage of sales
Selling or Exchange
Thrift shopping properly
Leave the expensive designers pieces (not the essentials with good quality), get yourself one as a gift and that’s it till you reach another milestone

These are all great points! I completely agree with buying clothes for your lifestyle. I love to buy things that I can wear more than one time or easily mix and pair with another outfit. There’s nothing wrong with a repeat outfit to me, just as long as you can style it differently.

You are right .. Buying pieces that are easy to style up and down is it!

These days when I am buying any outfit, I am thinking of million ways I can style it. If I can’t figure that out, I am not buying. Say no to boring outfits, lols. Plus, I have to repeat it until I am tired and I can’t be wearing one outfit same way continuously.

Yes and when you’ve exhausted how you can style it you get more creative with it 😂 makes you think out of the box
Amazing

I actually enjoyed reading this post. When buying clothes, I try to think of all the possible ways to style it. If it’s too limiting, then I usually opt for something else except I really like the print or something. And “Yass girl” *lol*, we gotta spend smartly but we gotta look great too. This post is a perfectly guide to killing two birds with one stone. Well done.
