Should Prostitution be legalized?

Hello and welcome!

Lets dive in to why we are here

Firstly, Is it not absurd that people think that legalizing Prostitution will reduce sexual harassment, or that it helps women’s right.

There are serious issues out there  concerning women that should be handled there’s abuse, forced marriage,Female genital mutilation,  rape and so on that has not been resolved but all of a sudden legalizing men to pay for sex is the next dope thing that will improve the way we’re seen, I mean it will be cool, just drop your money and I’ll sleep with you and it does not degrade me or make me look like something you can pay for in the market, when money for sex is normal when will buying women not become legal?

This is what we are fighting against every day of our lives, we are seen as sex objects and it sucks! then all of a sudden, they want to legalize that, giving men the power to scream at us on the street regardless of what we are wearing saying how much do you want how much are you worth.

What people need to understand

– Legalising and regulating prostitution will not make life safer for sex workers and will not help break the pimps and trafficking gangs who exploit them. The traffickers will thrive more. Bringing this immoral act in the open will not reduce traffickers but worsen the case.

– Removing the legal barriers will send a message to new generations of men that women are mere sexual commodities. And I don’t know what’s more degrading to women than being seen as such

– It reduces women to merchandise to be bought, sold and abused
Legalizing prostitution encourages men to solicit sex and have multiple partners, increasing STD risks.
– Police in the Netherlands, with its liberal prostitution laws, have estimated up to 90 percent of sex workers do not practice the profession voluntarily
– A report by Germany’s Family Ministry found a decade of legalisation had “not brought about any measurable actual improvement in the social coverage of prostitutes,” nor was their any “solid proof” that the law had reduced crime.

Is there no other way to empower women than to legalize prostitution? let me give you an insight to what will happen when prostitution is legalized, female children will become more rebellious, they will take their problem outside, start drugs which might eventually lead to prostituting then they will be harrassed or raped and even when they report to the police it will not favor most of them because most of their customers are rich and well connected.

If you want to help women; abusers should be given life imprisonment, create awareness on female genital mutilation, put a more serious ban on prostitution; it will reduce children being sold by traffickers, empower the female child to report when she’s being harassed and should be taken seriously, that is when we’ll feel like our rights matter not when you’re allowing men to pay for sex like pieces of meat and when you pay for something, what do you want? To get the most out of it, they won’t care about how the sex workers feel, they will go extra mile to satisfy their self.

Am I right or yes?  Something you want to point out? What are your thoughts?  Don’t hold back, I want to hear from you

  1. You and I know that its God that is saving us in Nigeria.. Was reading an article on one blog today where the man was cheating after marriage with countless number of women and denying his wife ”love” when she was in the mood… One day she got reconnected with her ex and de ate the fruits together.. Only for the husband to let all hell loose…

Am not supporting the woman though, but only once she fell for the desire of her flesh, the soceity will blame her against the useless man who has been cheering for over three years…

That’s d world women face and have been facing…

    Very unfortunate.

    1. Cheating for 3 years!! Woow

And she stayed in the marriage for so longgg ….it’s saddd

The legalization of Prostitution must take a while before coming to Nigeria but in Europe now.
      .it’s fire

  2. I really love this post…there are many pressing issues revolving around the feminine gender than legalizing prostitution. When patriarchal society begins to legalize absurd concepts surrounding women, we should be aware that it’s only for der own selfish reasons- a quest to exploit women, just like child marriage and d rest in Nigeria

    1. Madame please you can’t blame the men for this..legalising prostitution won’t benefit men only women who use it as their source of livelihood would gain from it too. There are women who wants this law legalized so that it would operate freely.
so you can’t say it’s the men’s idea. Don’t blame men for every awful thing that happens to the women.
the society comprises of both Men and Women so whatever decision the society makes is general not particularly “Men’s” idea.

  3. The thought of legalizing prostitution is both infurating and shameful. Some men already see ladies as “nothing” then this. Hell no!
This will give some of the retards the guts to throw all sorts (as is done even without the legalization) in the faces of women. God help us all.

  4. It’s shocking that they’re thinking of legalising prostitution. Like you said, there are more pressing issues that they’ve ignored for too long. They aren’t doing this for the women, they’re doing it for the men. When will women be taken seriously?!

    1. they aren’t doing it for the men but its for everyone.

  5. Legalizing prostitution will be a welcomed ignominy in this current dispensation. A law that has that as a way out to reducing sexual harassment, violent rape, and many others, is bad law despite its supposed good intention. To legalize this eyesore is to embrace insanity and to corrupt public morals.

You have given a trunk load of feasible plus foreseeable acts or omissions that will spring up if this bad law takes a stand.

    Beautiful piece.

  6. Its been proven that legalizing it does reduce STDs and sex trafficking. The fact that you made a statement about 90 percent in a given country are forced is not relevant to the United States because they don’t have the same level of police and federal agent presence that the US does because the crime rate is so low. So not a good point for comparison in my opinion.

With that being said if escortsling was legel and the escorts are required to get a license this would lower sex trafficking because they can keep track of who and where you are. It also wouls require you to get tested to keep license. It will also get the girls in front of more case workers which would be a way for them to get out if being forced.

Prostitution was around before laws were even written and it is not going to go away any time soon so society should accept it more.

Women don’t understand a man’s natural instincts to seek out a variety of different women even if they are in love with one woman. So using an escort is more discreet and actually hurts less women than cheating with a regular girl because with an expert its just business not personal.

I would much rather my man get an escort then lead a regular woman to believe they were single. Its deceiving and more hurtful and emotionally painful in my opinion.

Sex trafficking happens because of girls growing up in a broken home. I think the best way to reduce is to work on the family structure of our society. Drugs are a major problem and a huge part of escorting and sex trafficking. If we could reduce the drug influx in America we would be reducing it.

Most escorts that are being trafficked are suplying money for drug rings. If its legel it will give police and government a way to keep tabs on the girls in the business (I personally would not like that part of the license but whatever)

If it were legel then the government would receive alot more tax money which is good for the government. We all know we always could use more money in our government to improve things like schooling and healthcare.

So in my opinion it should be legalized based on the simple fact it will reduce trafficking, give Uncle Sam what he deserves, and reduce STDs by requiring all girls with licenses to get checked.

  7. Oh and escorts don’t really care what the clients think about them because they are getting paid. Its not degrading if a woman chooses to make her money this way that is her perogative and the escorts themselves mostly do not think of themselves as lesser than anyone.
